Article translation/collaboration request gulaali

Hi Teferi Kebebew, how are you? Mate, I am trying to find an editor/s who can help by translating User:Russavia/Polandball into Oromo. I am wondering if we could make a collaborative trade?

If you could translate that article into Oromo for me, I would be happy to upload approximately 50 aviation photos from Kenya and Ethiopia to Commons from amongst the 200,000 I have permission to upload. I have uploaded a number of photos already to give you an idea of what I can upload, and I am keeping a gallery at User:Russavia of photos uploaded.

Would you be interested in such a collaborative "trade"? Do let me know, either by responding here, or on my talk page, or by emailing me. Cheers, Russavia (talk) 04:52, 22 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply

P.S. Thanks for all of your fantastic work here on Oromo Wikipedia, it has not gone unnoticed :) Russavia (talk) 04:52, 22 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well, I think we share something: I love Russia too. I have long been fascinated by their aviation technology like Tupolev, Sukhoi, Antonov, MiG, superjet, etc. and their rocket/missile technology too just like you. Since we have something in common, loving Russia, I will definitely help you and I will translate the page into Afan Oromo. Since the page you requested contains many jargons which do not have the equivalent in Afan Oromo, it takes sometime for me to translate it properly. So give me some time. lata (talk) 14:52, 22 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi Teferi, thats fantastic mate, I really look forward to seeing the article in Afan Oromo. Would you like me to upload some unique Russian aviation photos to Commons, which I can place on my userpage, and which also hopefully encourage article creation here on Afan Oromo Wikipedia? I have many, many, many photos to choose from, so I am sure that I can upload photos which will hopefully blow your mind, and make any potential articles unique. Cheers, Russavia (talk) 14:56, 22 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply
You know I would love to see the pictures but I am not the one who can give permission on that. I don't know much about wikipedia commons rules. I am just a contributor, not admin. lata (talk) 15:33, 23 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's ok mate, I have access to over 200,000 photos which I can upload. If you check out the very bottom of my userpage, I am uploading some Russian aviation photos to Commons now, and placing them on my userpage here. Perhaps you might be able to use them in the future to be able to write artices in Afan Oromo on the individual aircraft, etc. I will keep uploading more for you if you like :) Russavia (talk) 15:59, 23 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply
I checked it out. The pictures are amazing. It is really fantastic. lata (talk) 16:17, 23 Onkoloolessa 2012 (UTC)Reply

Article requests: Seattle and Seattle Public Schools gulaali

Hi! Are you available for article requests? If so, would it be okay if you did a stub on en:Seattle and a stub on en:Seattle Public Schools in Oromo? The Seattle area has Oromo speakers so these articles would be very important.

Thank you WhisperToMe (talk) 08:18, 2 Sadaasa 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am afraid I can't because there are very few editors in Wiki Oromo section. Hence, the few available editors should focus on important articles first. If I get a free time in the future, I will try. Sorry! lata (talk) 07:30, 21 Sadaasa 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the explanation. Since you are focusing on more major topics first, why not ask for soemone to start Seattle? If/when you do have time to start the school distruct article (the idea is that people from Seattle who speak Oromo would see it) please let me know WhisperToMe (talk) 20:05, 20 Muddee 2013 (UTC)Reply
