English: Ethiopia's use of modern technology on farms is very low, in large part due to the small-holder nature of the farming system. Access to tractors, especially those with specialised implements, is rare and usually only available to those with large commercial farms. Here, international and local aid institutions and NGOs are trying to promote better access to tractors through training local staff, offering service centers and rentals, and providing farmer education on the benefits of mechanized farming.
